Attention Green Ridge R-8 Patrons:

We hope this communication finds you healthy and at home. We wanted to provide some information to you that you may need in the next few days.

AMI-Alternative Methods of Instruction: All elementary students who were in attendance on Tuesday March 17 received a packet of learning activities to complete at home during this Wellness Break. 7-12 students that requested a packet received one from each of their classes. ALL students/parents can find AMI information on our school website: look for the tab labeled “AMI” at the top of the webpage, then just click the link for the appropriate teacher/class.  Additionally, if you cannot access the internet, have no printing capabilities, or just wish to have a paper packet for your child, please call the school to request a printed copy for pick up.

Breakfast/Lunch: Starting on Thursday, March 19, Green Ridge School will be offering a grab and go breakfast and lunch to all students free of charge. In following our food service guidelines, students must be present at the time of pick up. Pick up times will be between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 12: 30 p.m. in the front office lobby.

Board of Education: In practicing social distancing the Green Ridge R-VIII School District will stream the board of education meeting live on facebook. The meeting will take place in the library beginning at 6:30 p.m. You can tune in right at home to stay up to date on school happenings and business.

Events/Activities/Practices: In following recommendations from state and local health officials, all of GR8 activities/events are cancelled March 17-April 5. The Green Ridge School District and GRRO are also requesting to respect the “social distancing” and to keep from using the facilities and fields.

Our offices continue to be open (8am-3pm) and will provide assistance as needed. Please call or stop by if you have any questions.
