You may remember that a racoon was heard above the ceiling in Ms. Treuner's second grade classroom. This racoon would also create messes in the classroom overnight.  Thankfully, the racoon was eventually caught and released to an outdoor location. However, Rocket Racoon, as he was eventually named, inspired many creative writings by the second grade students. These stories were compiled and a book Rocket the Racoon was published. Upon delivery of the book, the second grade students celebrated with a book signing and they read their stories aloud to the class.
