8th grade helped Mrs. Donaldson plant 15 apple trees, each a different variety, in what will become our school apple orchard. The funding for this project was provided via a grant from our Central Missouri Electric Cooperative. The kids enjoyed learning about the different varieties, the process of grating and of course getting dirty planting. Finding a snake in the grass was an added science bonus! Mrs. Donaldson looks forward to showing students how to tend to these trees as we watch them grow and produce fruit, together, in the years to come.
Thank you, Central Bank, for bringing Reality Check (a budgeting exercise) to Green Ridge sophomores and juniors on Tuesday, 3-12. We were fortunate and thankful to have many volunteers who assisted with the exercise in budgeting!

See this young man here? Layton found quite a bit of money in a library book today, and he turned the money in to Mr. Doane. He was rewarded for his honesty with a book and pen from the Book Fair! “Honesty” happens to be our character word for March. So proud of Layton for being a GR8 citizen and role model!
Blaise used his tiger bucks on a coupon for lunch with Mrs. Hammers. They had a lovely lunch full of interesting conversation.
You still have time to purchase a book from the Book Fair! Tomorrow is the last day!!! There are hundreds of amazing books to choose from!!!
