The Running Tigers cross country team faced a miserably hot first meet of the season today in Marshall. Despite the tough competition and sweltering heat nearly half the team managed to bring home medals. We're super proud of everyone as they fought through their nervous jitters to start the season.
👏 Congrats to the following Tigers who medaled:
Trenton Sawyer: 19th, Varsity Boys
Rylee Donaldson: 8th, Varsity Girls
Max Knoernschild: 6th, Jr. High Boys
Zoe Schleicher: 12th and Esther Pakhnyuk 16th, Jr. High Girls

Varsity soccer got a 2-0 win vs. Paseo Academy in game 2 of the Clinton Cup on Wednesday evening. Although the Tigers had multiple scoring opportunities in the first half, Paseo was able to thwart most of the chances. Trenton Sawyer took a pass from Jaden Xiloj with just over 15 minutes to play to net to net the Tigers first goal. The Tigers again controlled much of the tempo in the second half. Their loan goal came at just under 10 minutes into the half on a ball Max Tylar put through the defensive line that Jack Hoos was able to put in the back of the net. RJ Hampton-Shultz and Denver Bannister combined for the the shutout in goal.

Varsity soccer began the Clinton Cup tournament on Tuesday with a 4-1 loss to the host team. Clinton got off to a hot start with 2 goals in the first 5 minutes, however the Tigers settled in and played a more solid half until the Cardinals netted one more goal with about 7 minutes remaining in the first half. The team played better in the second half and was able to make some more runs and control the ball a bit more in the second half but it wasn't enough to make the comeback. Clinton got one more goal with just under 5 minutes left, but the Tigers fought to the end. Wyatt Crawford made a great run to beat the defense on a trough ball sent by Jack Hoos to net the Tigers lone goal in the final 5 minutes.

After months and months of anxiously waiting, we finally received our brand new 2026 Bluebird bus. If you look closely, you can see our very own Bobby Brown modeling. This allowed us to trade-in our old 1996 diesel. Once again thankful to be a part of this GR8 community.

OPEN HOUSE 2025! Wow! What a success. We had new students and returning students showing family members around introducing themselves to teachers and staff. They met the bus drivers, nurse, and kitchen staff. Students sat on a bus and got to show where they normally sit. If they filled out their "passport", they are entered into a drawing on the first day of school.
A HUGE thank you to all the organizations that helped, Central Bank for the selfie station and the pens; Green Ridge Baptist Church, everyone loved the hot dogs and snow cones; PTO for the bounce house; Booster club; Green Ridge Rec Organization; Boys and Girls Club; and I'm sure I forgot someone. Thank you to the parents for coming and I hope you found it worth your time!
Now here comes tomorrow, the day you've been waiting for, THE FIRST DAY OF THE 25-26 SCHOOL YEAR!
