Last week, Ms. Latimer's Ag Science 1 students dissected and labeled parts of a female cow and pig reproductive tract! Don't zoom in if you have a weak stomach. ;) However, our tough Tigers really enjoyed it and were able to take what they learned off diagrams and put it into a real world experience! WOW!!!
Congratulations to our GR8 Tiger Students of the Month for February-Frederick Porter and Kynleigh Tyler.
Fredrick Porter, Green Ridge Elementary 2nd grader, is selected as the February 2023 student of the month.
Fredrick is a very responsible and respectful classmate and student to have in class. Fredrick always does what is expected of him. We can count on him to do the right thing and set a good example for others. Fredrick is responsible and is always willing to lend a helping hand to help others. Frederick is a very honest student. He tells the truth, because it is the right thing to do. Fredrick is dependable, gives 100% effort, is a good role model for others, and respectful. Great job Fredrick!
Kynleigh Tyler, a GRHS 7th grade student, is selected as our February 2023 student of the month.
Kynleigh is kind to other students and her teachers. She actively participates in lessons, completes all of her work to the best of her ability, and is involved in school sports. She is a great role model to those around her. Kynleigh is kind to her classmates and often welcomes students (not picked for a group project) into her group. She is very patient and helpful with (a special needs student) especially. She's an ideal student who is always willing to participate in class discussion, volunteers when needed, asks questions when confused and completes her work as requested. She has never shown an ounce of disrespect and Kynleigh strives daily to be a good student and classmate.
Mrs. Dove's STEAM classes have to be GR8 listeners and follow multi-step directions to create a variety of projects. If they have 5 weeks of GR8 behavior, they get rewarded with a FREE CHOICE Day! Here are some examples of what students chose today!
Mrs. Link highlighted some of our elementary art projects during our recent Grandparent's Day event! Here is a glimpse...enjoy!
Mrs. Hammers, Mrs. Sleeper, Mrs. Edington and several of our fabulous PTO moms headed to Mazzio's in Sedalia for a Pizza Party with our PTO Read-A-Thon students!!! It was a GR8 day to be a Tiger Cub! Thanks again to all who supported this fundraiser!

Thank you Green Ridge community for supporting our Book Fair! We were very successful with the help of our Grands visiting the book fair with their grandchildren.
We welcomed our grandparents and grand-friends this last Thursday. I can't say how much I appreciate all of the grands that came to school to be with their grandchildren. The joy on all of the faces, old and young, filled the room with sunshine! I want to thank our NHS students for their help in setting up, tearing down, and running of the event. I also would like to thank our PTO board and volunteers for helping with this event, especially the cookies made by Sarah Carter! They were delicious! Here are a few pictures from the day. Feel free to add your pictures to the comment section. ~~Rachel Hammers
