HS boys basketball play Warsaw tonight at home. The Tigers are without two players due to injury, so it will be 2 quarters of JV then the Varsity game. JV starts at 6:00 pm. Varsity girls will return to action tomorrow night against Sacred Heart, with the boys, in Sedalia. Good Luck Tigers!

Green Ridge Harmony traveled to Blue Valley High School for their first competition of the season at the Tiger Takedown. “Harmony has worked hard this week to polish the show and prepare for the competition”, said Director, Ashley Bates. “They went out a really put on a show. All I ask is they give their best and today it paid off”. Harmony took first place in the 1A-2A division with Raul Ramirez and Sydney Gordon receiving recognition for Best Performers and Weston Crawford receiving Honorable Mention. Harmony’s next competition will be Saturday, February 4th at Smith-Cotton’s ShowMe Classic. They will perform at 8am in the Heckart Performing Arts Center. Special thanks to all the parents and families that traveled to watch and support Harmony today. Thank you to Kenny Thomas for driving and Kristy Allen for accompanying.

The Green Ridge students of the month for December are Alexas Stevens and Kaylee Burkhart! Alexas consistently maintains As and Bs while going to CTC and working at Dairy Queen all weekend. When she is in the classroom she helps others that need assistance. Alexas uses her strategies for success to overcome all obstacles, and always puts forth her best effort. Kaylee Burkhart displays characteristics of a kind, respectful, and safe student. She uses kind words to everyone, and is always willing to lend a helping hand. The Jr. High boys Basketball team improved to 5-0 in regular season conference play with an impressive 40-22 win against Smithton tonight. Wyatt Crawford led the scoring with a season-high 16 points followed by Jack Hoos with 10 points. Just about everyone got involved in the scoring tonight including Max Tylar, Mason Moore, Reid Hagedorn, Jett Bugg, Gage Devorss, and Logan Harrison. What a GR8 team effort tonight boys! Next up is Windsor Thursday night. 🐅🏀

Levi Lentz led the scoring with 11 points with Max Tylar right behind him with 9 points. Varsity Boys Basketball won last night in the Stover Tournament against the Holden Eagles 50-47. The Tigers played their best overall game of the year. Weston Crawford led scoring with 17, followed by Lucas Mason with 11, and Kamryn Hoos with 9. Mark Pavlioglo made two free throws down the stretch to secure the win. Logan Dove and Mark played great defense against Holden's best player and forced the Eagles into several turnovers. The Tigers will now play in the Consolation game on Saturday, in Stover, at 1:30 p.m. in the Dome. The Tigers will be playing the home team Bulldogs. Good Luck Tigers!

Happy New Year Tigers! Here's the athletic update over break and into this week. Varsity Boys beat Hardin-Central at SFCC 40-29 on 12/28. The Tigers were led in scoring by Logan Dove and Lucas Mason, both with 14. Kamryn Hoos had most the the ball handling duties, and did a nice job keeping the turnovers down. The rest of the Tigers did a nice job coming off the bench to add a spark in crucial times. The Varsity Boys travel to Stover tonight to play Eugene in the first round of the Stover Tournament at 6:00 p.m. in the old high school gym. Varsity Girls play tomorrow in the Stover tournament against Stover, starting at 6:00 p.m. JH will travel to Sacred Heart tomorrow with the order being "A" girls, "A" boys, "B" boys and will tip off at 5:30 p.m. Good Luck Tigers!

HS basketball games for tonight in Concordia have been cancelled. Illness and injuries have both schools lacking student athletes. The rescheduled date and times will be posted when a decision has been made. JH basketball will be playing at LaMonte tonight. Girls "A" will start at 5:00 p.m. Boys "A" will follow the Girls, and a full Boys "B" game (running clock with 5 minute half-time) will follow the Boys "A" game. Good Luck Tigers!
