Third graders in Miss Oliver's class have been reading poetry all week. Today students got into groups to research different types of poems. They made a poster as a group, then used the poster to teach the rest of the class about that type of poetry.

The Lady Tigers had a home conference game against the Lady Gremlins. Green Ridge struggled to find consistent offense and unfortunately lost. Sophia Weis was the leading score for the Lady Tigers with 18, Maria Heuman finished with 12, and Katlynn Hiller chipped in 6 points.

Boys basketball lost last night in Cole Camp 59-41. The Tigers played with a lot of heart and effort, but fell short. Kam Hoos led with 15, while Igor chipped in 8.
The Tigers are back on the floor this evening, in Green Ridge, against Sacred Heart. 2 quarters of JV boys, Varsity girls, and Varsity boys, with JV starting at 5:30.
Congratulations to all the students that had artwork selected to represent our school in the Kaysinger Conference Art Show. The show was displayed this past week at SFCC during the conference basketball tournament. It is an honor to have work selected for the show and a big accomplishment to be rewarded by the judges to receive a ribbon! GR8 JOB, art students!

GREEN RIDGE FBLA MEMBERS QUALIFY FOR STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
Green Ridge, MO—February 1, 2022—Twenty-Four members of the Green Ridge Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently competed in the Missouri FBLA District 10 Leadership Conference held in Warrensburg, MO at the University of Central Missouri. Twenty-eight school districts across central Missouri represented by over 500 students and advisors gathered to learn, compete and celebrate at the first face-to-face District Conference in two years. Members competed in over sixty events. The top performers in each event appeared on stage and were awarded medals. Congratulations are in order for the following Green Ridge FBLA members who received medals and are moving on to compete at the State Leadership Conference to be held in Springfield, MO April 10-12, 2022:

The chapter’s voting delegates were Miley Hayes and Molli Mahalovich and Jennifer Schlender is the chapter adviser. Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) student business organization with nearly a quarter million members and advisers in 6,000 chartered high school and college chapters worldwide. Its mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.
High School Basketball will be traveling to Cole Camp tonight for 2 quarters jv boys, varsity girls, and varsity boys contests. Cole Camp will be honoring their seniors between the varsity girls and varsity boys contests. JV boys will tip off at 5:30 pm.

Boys basketball finished the Kaysinger Conference Tournament with a win over Otterville 55-46. The Tigers were led by Weston Crawford (16), Kam Hoos (15), and Igor Taushanzhi (9).
The boys have a busy week ahead at Cole Camp Tuesday, home against Sacred Heart on Wednesday, and courtwarming against Windsor on Friday.

Sorry to announce that the Smith Cotton Show Choir Competition has been cancelled for Saturday, February 5th. Harmony will not be traveling this weekend.
Next time out will be Saturday, February 19th at Nevada.
