
Athletic Updates for 3/28:
Baseball and Softball games for today are on as scheduled. Both contests will have first pitch at 4:30 p.m.
Baseball is playing Leeton in a Varsity only contest, and Softball is playing Butler in a Varsity contest followed be a shortened JV 3/3/3 contest.

Thanks so much to the nine teams that entered our fundraising volleyball tournament to support Chevi and congratulations to the winning teams! I certainly appreciate those of you that helped to make it happen. Let's do it all over again next Saturday with the Coed tournament!

On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, Samuel Verbovshchuk along with Principal Edington and the Art Teacher, Lori Larimore, attended Fine Arts Day at the Missouri State Capitol. Samuel was honored for his artwork, which was selected by Senator Sandy Crawford. Senator Crawford presented him with a proclamation and congratulated him on his exceptional artwork. In addition, Representative Willard Haley extended his hospitality by taking us to the House Floor and on a tour of the Whispering Gallery.




Athletic updates for today (3/25):
Softball @ St. Paul's is ON! First pitch will be at 5:00 p.m. It appears Hwy 23 is closed due to the Blackwater being over the road, so you will need to plan accordingly on your preferred travel route.
JH Track is going to Russellville. Field events will start at 4:00.

***Senior Spotlight***


Robby Cartee, a 2021 Green Ridge grad, is now an E2 in the Marines! He visited with his former students from Mrs. Hubbard's class before his 3 year tour to Japan begins next week. We are so proud of "Mr. Robby!"
All of GR8 is proud of our graduates entering the military. Blessings to you on your assignment to Japan, Robby!



The Green Ridge 2022 Varsity Track season got underway yesterday afternoon with the "Running Tigers" competing in the Russellville Invitational Track meet. This was a non medal meet preparing athletes for the upcoming season. Here are the results from Green Ridge:
3rd Place- Mark Pavlioglo High Jump
3rd Place- Michael Smith 110H Hurdles
3rd Place- Michael Smith 300m Hurdles
4th Place- 4x800 Relay (Eric Thomas, Gavin Bottom, Dylan Stevens, Weston Crawford)
5th Place- Weston Crawford High Jump (PR)
The varsity team consists of 13 members with some new faces! Going to be another fantastic season. GO TIGERS!!!!!

Athletic Updates: Sorry for the multiple notifications today.
The Golf match today (3/24) in Marshall has been cancelled.
Baseball vs. Sweet Springs tomorrow (3/25) has also been cancelled.
As of right now Softball at St. Paul's is still on for tomorrow, and more information will come at a later time.

Congratulations to these Tigers that competed at the Kaysinger Conference Science Fair on Tuesday this week.
Kaelyn Ray earned 2nd place and Kate Berry and Kiley Gilbertson received 3rd place for their entries.



Softball @ Kingsville has been cancelled for this afternoon. We are looking at make-up dates, and will update the schedule as soon as an agreement has been made. Stay dry Tigers.

High School Track for tomorrow 3/24 at Sherwood has been cancelled. The make up date for the meet has not been made yet, but we will update the website and calendar when available.

Baseball and Softball games for tonight have been cancelled due to weather. We are working on a make up date. We will update as soon as a date has been agreed to.
Golf for tomorrow has also been cancelled.

Bus 1 had some troubles this morning. Pick up times are delayed 30 minutes or so. Be patient and he will be there soon.
Parents may choose to take students to school if you wish, please let your driver know if you do.

The Baseball Tigers lost the first contest of the season to Warsaw 16-0 on a rain soaked evening. Trent Scotten and Lucas Mason pitched for the Tigers. Lucas earned the only hit in the game. The Tigers showed they can field the ball well with one throwing error and one fielding error on the evening. Warsaw hit the ball where the Tigers weren’t and capitalized on walks and passed balls.
The Tigers are in action again tomorrow night against Concordia (weather permitting) in Green Ridge.
The Tigers also have a game on Friday night in LaMonte, against Sweet Springs at 7:00 pm.

Green Ridge Athletic update for 3/21:
Baseball will be playing Warsaw, at home, with first pitch starting at 5:00 p.m.
Softball is playing Bunceton/Prairie Home starting at 5:30 p.m.
