Change of schedule for Varsity basketball games tonight in Stover. Varsity girls will tip off at 5:00 pm, followed by 2 quarters jv boys and varsity boys.
Good evening TigerNation:
We had a professional crew come to our school to clean up the water mess from our burst pipe. We have nearly 100 fans throughout the building. According to the work crew, proper drying practices require 3-5 days of drying out.
With this information provided by them, we will NOT be in session on Thursday or Friday (Jan 18-19) this week. Thursday will be AMI day 5, Friday will be a traditional "snow day". Please communicate with your teachers with any questions with student work.
Unfortunately we have used many days already, and we are still in January. If we have any further missed days, we will have to look at dates for make up.
We will continue to supply CTC transportation as long as they are in session.
Our 2nd quarter Elem Awards Assembly scheduled for Friday will be rescheduled.
Update:
We had standing water in many classroom and the few offices in the HS wing. We are getting the mess cleaned up and getting the water turned back on soon. So, we will expect to have school tomorrow.
Today-we will still provide transportation to CTC for those students wanting/needing a ride.
Practice times for basketball teams will be provided by your coaches when that becomes available.
NO school today, January 17. Due to cracked water lines, we are without water today. Please complete AMI day 4.
Sorry for the late notice and any inconvenience this may cause.

On Saturday afternoon, Callie Knoernschild took the stage to perform with the WCMMEA All-District Honor Band.
Callie and Isabel both auditioned for district band in November. This is a tough process with many students playing and competing for only a handful of spots in each section.
“I am beyond proud of both girls for challenging themselves and following through on their auditions. Their hard work paid off,” Bates. “It was a beautiful concert put together by our district directors, students, and many UCM professors.”
From Mrs. Dove:
"Perler beads (or melty beads) are small, plastic beads. You arrange them on a special pegboard to form a design. Then, using an iron and parchment paper, you melt the beads together. Freshman, Hunter Nguyen, came into the library after school many days and created this gorgeous wolf. The amazing thing is Hunter had never worked with Perler beads before! This project definitely took patience and perseverance! Way to go Hunter!"

From Mrs. Nevels:
"My 8th graders are currently working on some thought provoking Algebra problems and they’re doing great! Always working together to find each other’s mistakes and discover different ways to solve the same problem."
From Mrs. White:
"British Literature students practiced using Shakespearean language by participating in a Shakespeare slam today. There were definitely many laughs had by all!"
From Mrs. Fox:
"The Sophomores traveled to LaMonte yesterday to attend round table discussions on programs offered at State Fair Community College Career and Technology Center. Later in January, Sophomores will travel to SFCC-CTC to visit the two programs they are most interested in. These visits help students plan for what courses they may want to take their junior and senior years."
From Mrs. Piscopo:
"Mrs. Piscopo's class started their unit on Famous American Leaders this week. These are the cutest Abraham Lincoln's we've ever seen!"
1/4/24 Ms. Tylar's Advisory:
