April is Autism Awareness Month!

The Green Ridge Music Department attended District Solo & Ensemble today at State Fair Community College with 12 outstanding musicians. Ratings are as follows: Eric Thomas, Horn Solo - Outstanding (II) GR8 Horn Trio (Eric Thomas, Callie Knoernschild, Rylee Donaldson) - Outstanding (II) GR8 Men's Quartet (Stetson Mahin, Conner Garrigus, Weston Crawford, Gavin Bottom) - Satisfactory (III) GR8 Woodwind Quartet (Isabel Knoernschild, Josie Porter, Katie Musgrave, Savannah Nilson) - Outstanding (II) Isabel Knoernschild, Vocal Solo - Satisfactory (III) Stetson Mahin, Vocal Solo - Exemplary (I) Miley Hayes, Trumpet Solo - Exemplary (I) Miley and Stetson will continue to polish their musical performances for another opportunity in front of judges at State District Solo & Ensemble on April 28th in Columbia, Missouri. Congratulations to all of our GR8 Musicians on their ratings and wonderful performances at Districts!

More 6th grade Mayan masks!

Mr. Allen's 6th graders are working on their Mayan masks! Every shape and color has a specific meaning. This project is big....presentations coming soon!

Upper level math classes are keeping busy! Students were working with exponents in 8th grade math today while Algebra 2 focused on synthetic division. Geometry classes were able to view Ms. Atkin's model of an upcoming project. Keep up the GR8 work!

Twenty Tigers in 5th-8th grades went to Lincoln on March 14 to compete in the first ever Kaysinger Jr High Math Contest. Our students did GREAT!!! Green Ridge came home with the overall school Championship!
