Kam Hoos is a GRHS senior who peer tutors for Mr. Cannon's elementary PE classes. Coach Cannon had to step away from the classroom today and Mr. Edington stepped in to supervise the class. However, Kam was the real teacher today. He did a great job warming students up and instructing them on a new game they were playing today. Thanks Kam Hoos for being a great role model for our students!

Missouri New Law: Get the Lead Out In order to be compliant with the Missouri law known as the “Get the Lead out of School Drinking Water Act," over the next few days the District will conduct sampling and testing of all potential drinking water sources in the school. The results of the water testing, including any corrective actions and retesting needed will be posted in a public follow-up notice--typically, 7-14 workdays after the water samples have been submitted to the lab. Additional information and resources on the health effects of lead contamination are available here: https://www.epa.gov/ground-water-and-drinking-water/basic-information-about-lead-drinking-water#health

High School competed in Smithton on Monday, April 11. All of our athletes left their best on the track and field participating in 2-4 events each. Logan Dove and Eric Thomas ran hard in their events gaining new personal records. Each one pictured (including Jacob Tylar, not pictured) walked away with medals in various events as well as new personal bests. All of our athletes pushed themselves to uncomfortable limits and grew as individuals and as a team. Better than yesterday. Callie Knoernschild: 3rd place 800m (this was a close one & Callie turned up the heat in the end claimed her spot) Rylee Donaldson: 1st place 800m, 2nd place 1600m Wyatt Broach: 2nd place Javelin, 3rd place 100m Weston Crawford: 1st place High Jump, 2nd place 800m (another close one) Jacob Tylar: 2nd place 100m, 2nd place 200m Junior High track heads to Cole Camp Wednesday and Smith-Cotton Thursday.
